Session Tips

Arrive with clean hair and minimal makeup.

Wear a comfortable two-piece outfit from home.

Bring 2-3 complete outfits. The more colorful, the better! We want to capture the real you! We do a variety of posing including full length and floor shots, so bring shoes and jewelry that complement your outfits. Bright solid tops look great colorized!

For family sessions, bring at least 2 complete outfits. Denim with white shirts or solid black outfits give family portraits a very sharp look. The same style or similar colors make family portraits something to remember.

Bring your own props. This gives your portraits a personalized touch. Things like military or sports uniforms, musical instruments or even pets, can make a great addition to your portraits.

Please tell us what you like and don't like. We want you to feel free to express your likes and dislikes to your makeup artist and your photographer. This will help us personalize your session. We want you to LOVE your portraits!

Please plan to select and purchase your portraits at the end of your session. We can customize a package that suits your particular portrait needs. We want you to be able to show off your beautiful portraits to all your friends and family members. For your convenience, we accept most major credit cards.

On August 14th, I turned 49 years old and for my birthday I wanted to have professional pictures taken. I have been working hard on getting in the best shape ever and I told myself that before I turned 50, I would do this and I made it a year ahead of time. After researching photographers, I decided on Glamour Shots at the Fair Oaks mall in Fairfax, Virginia. The photo shoot was scheduled for August 17th and I believe the stars all lined up that day for me because the day couldn't have been more magical. Everything was perfect from my clothes to my hair to my makeup and I have the pictures to prove it. The staff at this location was so polite, friendly, and professional. Christina did my makeup and it was just perfect and fabulous! I was a little nervous once we started the shoot but Victor by his calm and gentle demeanor made me feel very comfortable right away. Alex gave me excellent customer service during the past five weeks while I waited for different orders to come in. He was always polite and ready to do whatever I wanted to make me happy. I also had the privilege of working with Ginger, Luis and Christian when I came back with my husband for more pictures and they too were fabulous! You just don't get that level of service anymore. You should be very proud of your staff at the Fair Oaks Mall location. I will highly recommend Glamour Shots to all my friends and co-workers.

"I took my photos at Glamour Shots in Staten Island in March 2008. I just wanted to let the company know I was provided with EXCELLENT service from the staff. I mean from the front desk to the hair/makeup to the photographer. I have never ever experienced customer service as good as this. They were very warm, friendly, informative, professional, and helpful.

Now I must rave about the hair/makeup artist. She was so good at fixing my hair and makeup---a true professional…The photographer---Oh what a doll! She was so good she put my impatient boyfriend at ease. Her imagination was great. Whatever poses she thought of were super excellent.

The pictures came out awesome. My boyfriend and I never looked so good. I came in for a picture for our wedding invitations and had a very hard time choosing because the staff made us look so good!
